Estimated property tax bills were mailed to Berkeley Heights residents about 10 days ago. Please note that if your mortgage company or bank pays your property taxes, this tax bill is an advisement only. You do not need to make an additional payment. If you normally pay your property taxes directly to the Berkeley Heights Tax Collector, this is the amount you should pay to the Tax Collector for your August quarterly payment.

If a deer has died in the roadway or at your curbside, call the Berkeley Heights Police Department (908) 464-1111 to make arrangements to have it removed. A deer that has died on private property can be dragged to the curb. If you cannot or choose not to drag it to the curb, call the Police Department. Arrangements will be made with Deer Carcass Removal Service to come remove the dead deer however; removal of dead animals from private property is at the homeowners expense. Removal of smaller animals that are dead or injured (raccoons, squirrels, etc.) is done on a case-by-case basis. Call the Township Clerks Office or Police Department for assistance or referrals.
